Before Westminster
- Transferred to Westminster after playing for Utah Valley out of high school.
- Graduated from Viewmont High School where was a 5A all-state honoree and averaged 14.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.2 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game.

- Son of Matt and Brooke Johnson.
- He has two brothers, Gibson and McKay, and two sisters, Ella and Grace.
- His oldest brother, Gibson, played basketball at the University of Hawaii while his other brother, McKay, also played at UVU.
- His twin sister, Grace, plays soccer at Ole Miss while his older sister Ella played soccer at both BYU and Ole Miss.
- Brayden served and LDS mission in Campinas, Brazil and away from the basketball court also enjoys playing golf.
