Personal: From the Land of the Midnight Sun where she graced Anchorage’s East High School with her formidable academic and multi-sport skills, Griffin freshman Megan Neale enters Westminster as a Business, Justice or Criminal Justice major, with a focus on Pre-Law or Archaeology. Megan’s academic high school career includes four years of Honor Roll selection, membership in the National Honor Society, and graduating Cum Laude in the top 10% of her class. The middle and long-distance specialist gains her athletic strength from a Thunderbird high school campaign that includes letters in Soccer, Track, XC, and the toughest cardio sport of them all: XC Skiing.

Away from competition, Megan enjoys all the outdoor pursuits that an Alaskan should, including hiking, climbing, mountain biking, and sliding XC on skinny skis or downhill on fatties. Some of her milder activities include reading, cooking, Indie films, action and comedy movies, and playing violin. New Griffin groupies include Megan’s parents: mother Shelly James, and father Tim Neale.
