Westminster University Athletics

Alia Guercio is from Langley, British Columbia, and attended R.E. Mountain Secondary School, where she earned the Team BC Coaches Choice Award, was named Coquitlam Adanacs U18 Tier 1 Athlete of the Year, was a two-time U13 Provincial/League Champions Coach, was a three-time Adrenaline tournament champion, and was selected twice for the American Selects Pacific Northwest team.

She is majoring in Business. Guercio chose Westminster because, from her first visit, she loved how close and bonded the team was — something especially important to her as an international student — and Utah's beauty made it feel like a home away from home immediately.

Her goal is to one day be an assistant coach at the university level, since coaching is a major part of why she loves the sport. 

Favorite athlete: Quinn Hughes, former captain of the Vancouver Canucks, whom she admires for his drive and determination to help his team succeed and constantly better himself.
