Ethan Genessy is from Roy, Utah, and attended American Fork High School, where he maintained a 3.9+ GPA, qualified for DECA Internationals, took 5 AP classes, earned Second Team All-State honors in 2023, received the Men's Lacrosse Caveman Award, served as Student Body Officer of Spirit, and was named Student of the Year in Chemistry.
He is majoring in Finance with a minor in Spanish. Genessy chose Westminster because, in his words, he prayed and felt it was the right place to go — practically speaking, it also kept him close to his now-wife and offered a strong business program.
Family: father Jody Genessy and mother Heather Kenney; siblings Sydney (sister), Aidan and Jackson (brothers).
His goals are to raise a happy and stable family, contribute something meaningful to society, make a difference through financial education and assistance, become fully financially independent, and help others the way he's been helped throughout his life.
Favorite teams: Seattle Seahawks, Utah Jazz, Utah Archers, Atlanta Braves, BYU Cougars, and Sport Club Corinthians Paulista.
