Angela Martin Rubin is from Las Rozas de Madrid, Madrid, Spain, and attended Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, where she placed second in the 800m and third in the 400m at the 2025 Madrid U20 Regional Championships, placed 14th in the 800m at the 2025 Spain U20 National Championships, and was nominated for the 2024 Madrid Academic Excellence Award.

She is majoring in Psychology with a Cognitive Sciences emphasis. Martin Rubin chose Westminster because it prioritizes the well-being of its athletes as people, not just competitors; she was also drawn to the small class sizes for their interactivity and closer relationships with professors, and to the campus's mountain setting.

Her goal is to pursue a career in clinical or sports psychology, helping others through their personal and athletic journeys, and to live a life centered on happiness, purpose, and bringing joy to the people around her.
