Westminster volleyball's home stand continued Saturday, but Adams State completed a three-set match, 25-23, 25-22, 25-19, at Behnken Field House.

Set 1
The opening set was tightly contested throughout, featuring 16 tie scores. Tiia Heikkinen served a pair of aces during a stretch that pushed Westminster to its largest lead of the set, 12-9, a margin the Griffins matched again later at 20-17. Westminster even regained a 23-22 edge in the closing moments, but Adams State closed the set on a three-point run to escape with the 25-23 win. The Griffins finished with 12 kills and four aces in the frame.
Set 2
Westminster carried the fight into the second set, building its own set-best three-point cushion at 20-17 behind a balanced attack. The Griffins totaled 14 kills and 14 assists as a team, with three blocks, and the set matched the first for competitiveness with 16 more tie scores before Adams State again closed it out, 25-22.
Set 3
Adams State controlled the finale throughout and closed out the match, 25-19. Even so, Westminster had bright spots at the net: Jocelyn Grieser posted a team-best 4 kills on .300 hitting, while Apiline White and Clara Philipsson each hit .400.
Across the full three sets, the match featured 33 tie scores and 20 lead changes. For the night, Westminster hit .165 as a team with 35 kills, seven aces, 52 digs, and served at a .923 clip while passing serve at .925.
