Game Breakdown
First Half
Westminster came out of the gate fast, scoring seven unanswered goals in the first quarter. Jordan Williamson led the charge with three first-quarter goals, while Lilliana Montano added two and Madi Rogers and Shaina Shoughro each chipped in one to send the Griffins into the second up 7-0. Westminster kept the pressure on in the second, with Williamson, Segaline, Rogers, Williamson again on a man-up free position shot, Shaina Shoughro, and Jessie Giacomazzi all finding the net to push the lead to 13-0. Fort Lewis broke through late in the half on a Marissa LaCivita man-up goal, but Jadyn Kohan answered with a free-position goal just before the buzzer to send Westminster to the break leading 14-1.
Second Half
Kaitlyn Parish took over in goal to start the third quarter. Fort Lewis showed some life, scoring twice — Grace Butler off a Zoi Delgado assist and LaCivita off a Valerie Garcia assist — to cut it to 14-3. Westminster responded with Shaina Shoughro off a Montano assist and Segaline on a free position shot to close the quarter ahead 16-3. The Griffins added four more in the fourth — two man-up goals from Montano, one from Holly Shoughro, and a final score from Giacomazzi off a Grace Szwedko assist — to seal the 20-3 final.
