Game Breakdown
First Quarter
Westminster came out firing, scoring eight unanswered goals to open the game. Ridge Crouch scored twice in the first four minutes — the second assisted by Boden Laforce — before Hank Osterberger added a goal assisted by Luke Sillstrop at 10:48. Sillstrop then tallied three times himself, including goals at 8:24 and 3:25, sandwiching a quick strike from Nick Antonucci at 8:14. Ridge Crouch capped the quarter with a man-up goal assisted by Ashton Karch to send Westminster into the second leading 8-0.
Second Quarter
The Griffins kept their foot on the gas, scoring six more before Adams State got on the board. Theo Le and Harrison Edwards — the latter on a man-up opportunity — scored in the opening minute of the quarter to push the lead to 10-0. Liam Sweeney, Luke Sillstrop (man-up), Daxton Jensen, and Duke DeVault followed to extend the advantage to 14-0. Adams State finally broke through with back-to-back goals from Danny Joy and Jacob Parsons, but Sillstrop answered with his fifth goal of the day on a man-up opportunity before Malik Maxwell closed the half at 15-3.
Third Quarter
Adams State opened the third with back-to-back goals from Cohen Taylor and Danny Joy to cut the deficit to 15-5. Westminster responded with Ethan Walling's goal, assisted by Boden Laforce, at 10:10 to push the lead back to 16-5. Taylor added his second of the quarter at 4:56, but the Griffins answered with consecutive goals from Duke DeVault and Daxton Jensen — the latter assisted by Theo Le — to extend the advantage to 18-6. Jacob Parsons scored twice in the final two minutes of the quarter to close it at 18-8 heading to the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
Camden Stanley opened the final frame with a man-up goal, assisted by Harrison Edwards, to push the lead to 19-8. After Jacob Parsons added his fourth goal of the game for Adams State, Westminster closed it out with three more — Kaydin Berry at 8:33, and back-to-back man-down goals from Cam Conti and Cale Gunter — to seal the 22-9 victory.
