Round One

Westminster University opened its spring campaign at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, CA, posting a first-round score of 291 at the Men's DII Visit Stockton Invitational. The Griffins competed on a par-72 course stretching 7,315 yards, with the field featuring some of the top Division II programs from the West Region.

Round Two

Westminster carded a 290 in the second round — their best round of the tournament — to finish with a two-day total of 581, landing the Griffins in a tie for fourth place overall. The team showed strong scoring ability on par 5s, averaging 4.70 per hole for a score of -12, which ranked third among all teams in the field. Westminster also recorded 31 birdies across the two rounds, placing them third in the tournament in that category.

Griffin Performances

Westminster was led by a pair of standout performances at the top of the lineup:

  • Hayden Howell carded rounds of 70-70 for a two-day total of 140 (-4), finishing tied for second overall in the individual standings. Howell also ranked among the tournament's top individual par-5 scorers, averaging 4.38 per hole for a score of -5.

  • Nic Jensen matched Howell's performance round-for-round, also shooting 70-70 for a 140 total (-4) and a tie for second. Jensen similarly excelled on par 5s, averaging 4.38 per hole for a score of -5.

  • Andrew Ahlstrom contributed rounds of 74-72 for a 146 total (+2), finishing tied for 23rd.

  • Ty Anderson shot 77-78 for a 155 total (+11), placing 83rd.

  • Wyatt Toney rounded out the scoring with rounds of 79-78 for a 157 total (+13), finishing tied for 90th.
