SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Westminster women's basketball senior Teuila Nawahine surpassed 1,000 career points on Thursday night in the Griffins' 69-63 victory over New Mexico Highlands at Behnken Field House.
Nawahine entered the contest with 990 career points and finished with 15 points, pushing her career total to 1,005 points and moving her into 10th place on Westminster's all-time women's basketball scoring list.
The senior guard shot 5-14 from the field, including a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line, while adding five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 38 minutes.
Over her four-year career, Nawahine has appeared in 100 games with 81 starts, averaging 10.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. She has been a model of consistency and durability for the Griffin program, playing in 27 games each of her first two seasons before suiting up for 25 games in 2024-25 and 21 games so far this season.
With her name now etched in Westminster's top 10 all-time scorers, Nawahine continues to be a cornerstone of the Griffin program.
