Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster women's lacrosse team faced off against Colorado Mesa on Saturday afternoon at Dumke Field in an RMAC conference game, ultimately falling 20-5 in RMAC action.
After a hot start from the Mavericks, the Griffins got on the board late in the first quarter with a goal from Shaina Shoughro assisted by Celia Fidanza. Westminster added four more goals throughout the game, with Shoughro netting a second and Jordan Williamson, Grace Szwedko, and Madi Rogers each contributing one.
Despite strong efforts from the Griffin attack, Colorado Mesa's offensive firepower proved too much to overcome, as they built an early lead and never looked back.
