Pueblo, Colo. — The Westminster Griffins women's lacrosse team snapped their conference losing streak in dominant fashion, racing out to an 8-0 lead and never looking back in an 18-7 win over CSU Pueblo on Wednesday afternoon.
Westminster (record) set the tone early with five first-quarter goals, led by Shaina Shoughro and Olivia Petrosky, who each scored twice in the opening frame. The Griffins continued their offensive surge into the second quarter as Jordan Williamson, Ava Deakins, and Lexi Segaline added goals to push the lead to eight before the Thunderwolves found the back of the net.

Williamson and Segaline combined for seven goals over the final two quarters to seal the victory. Williamson finished the game with four goals, while Segaline added five, including a natural hat trick in the fourth quarter.
