Irvine, CA – In a rematch of last season's RMAC Tournament showdown, the Westminster Griffins Men's Lacrosse team faced off against Concordia University Irvine, falling 10-5 on the road.
The Golden Eagles opened the scoring early and maintained control throughout the contest. Westminster's Luke Sillstrop tallied two goals for the Griffins, while Camden Rossi also found the net twice. Sean Gragnola added a goal with an assist from Xavier Monteiro.
Despite a strong defensive effort from goalie Christian Jones, who recorded nine saves, the Griffins were unable to slow down Concordia's offensive attack, led by Jeremy Barnes and Chad McFadden.
UP NEXT: The Griffins return home to Dumke Field to take on Dominican University of California on March 30 (Sunday) at 12:00 PM. The game will feature a Youth Jersey Game promotion, where children in 8th grade or younger wearing a jersey will receive free admission.
