Griffins Advance to RMAC Semifinals With Overtime Win Over CSU Pueblo

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster men's soccer earned a dramatic 1–0 overtime victory over CSU Pueblo on Sunday afternoon in the RMAC Quarterfinals at Dumke Field. The win improves the Griffins to 11-5-2 overall and sends them to the conference semifinals.

After a tightly contested regulation period, the match remained scoreless through 90 minutes. The Griffins finally broke through in the 95th minute, when Jack Cardwell netted the golden goal — his fourth of the season — off assists from Owen Gallo and James Miles to seal the Westminster victory.

The Griffins were outshot 11–9, but held a 6–4 edge in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Tommy Manwaring made six saves to earn the shutout, marking another standout performance for the redshirt sophomore.

Westminster finished with seven corner kicks and nine fouls in the physical matchup, while CSU Pueblo committed eight fouls.

With the win, the Griffins advance to the RMAC Semifinals where they'll face University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Wednesday evening.
