GUNNISON - Westminster opened strong, taking the first two sets 26–24 and 25–20 with control and confidence despite a charged Homecoming crowd inside Paul Wright Gymnasium. But the third set shifted the tone. Up 24–20, the Griffins saw Western rally for a stunning 26–24 comeback, swinging the momentum in the Mountaineers' favor.
Western carried that energy into the fourth, feeding off the home crowd to even the match 2–2 with a 25–18 win. When it came time to decide it, Westminster regrouped and responded. The Griffins jumped out to a 5–0 lead in the fifth and never looked back, closing it out 15–6 to secure the road victory.
Sadie Parrish led Westminster with 15 kills, while middles Hailey Killett and Mailei Myers each added 9 and controlled the net defensively. Libero Ava Livolsi anchored the back row with 21 digs.
With the win, Westminster improved to 10-6 overall and 3-3 in RMAC play. The Griffins will return home next week to continue conference action.
