Westminster Holds On in Overtime Thriller Against Adams State

Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster Griffins Women's Basketball team fought through a nail-biter against Adams State University, securing their second conference win of the season with an 83-78 overtime victory.

The Griffins held the lead for much of the game, but with one second remaining in regulation and Westminster ahead by one point, the Grizzlies had a chance to steal the win at the free-throw line. A missed free throw sent the game into overtime, where Westminster regained control and held on for the victory.

Abby Conlee led the Griffins with an impressive 24 points and eight rebounds. She was joined by three other players in double figures: Maia Rhay, who added 16 points, eight rebounds, and three assists; Maunayia Harrigfeld, who recorded a double-double with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists; and Teuila Nawahine, who chipped in with 11 points.

For Adams State, Angelline Nageak led the way with 18 points, while Taejhuan Hill and Kiiyani Anitielu each contributed 16 points.
