Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster Griffins Women's Basketball team couldn't replicate their November success against Fort Lewis College, as the Skyhawks avenged their earlier loss with a dominant 78-55 victory on Saturday afternoon at Behnken Field House.
The Griffins got off to a strong start, leading by seven points at the end of the first quarter. However, the tide turned quickly as Fort Lewis outscored Westminster 45-19 across the second and third quarters to take control of the game and secure the RMAC win.
Teuila Nawahine and Nisa Ellis led the Griffins with nine points apiece, but it wasn't enough to overcome the offensive firepower of the Skyhawks. Fort Lewis was paced by Livia Knapp, who tallied 13 points, while Natalie Guanella added 12 points to help the Skyhawks pull away in the second half.
