Grand Junction, CO – The Westminster Griffins Women's Basketball team began their five-game road trip in RMAC play with a tough 88-49 loss to the Colorado Mesa Mavericks on Saturday afternoon.
Teuila Nawahine led the Griffins with 13 points and added four rebounds, while Maunayia Harrigfeld contributed nine points and eight rebounds. Despite a strong effort, Westminster struggled to match the Mavericks' offensive efficiency.
Colorado Mesa's Riley Hayes led all scorers with 26 points, including six three-pointers. Brooklyn Palmer added a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Olivia Reed and Mykaela Moore chipped in 16 and 14 points, respectively, for the Mavericks.
