Nampa, ID – The Westminster Griffins Volleyball team wrapped up their weekend tournament in Idaho with a thrilling five-set victory over host Northwest Nazarene University. The Griffins battled hard and came out on top, winning 3-2 with scores of 25-14, 15-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-7.
Westminster was led by Breegan Huntsman, who dominated with 23 kills in the victory. The team showed balance on both offense and defense, with Josie Gerritsen (30 assists) and Leila Cornejo (28 assists) distributing the ball effectively throughout the match.
Defensively, the Griffins were anchored by Alanna Lee with 25 digs and Alex Thon contributed 22 digs to keep the Griffins in control during key moments.

With this win, Westminster heads back to Salt Lake City to begin conference play, where they will host Fort Lewis College on Friday, September 20. The match will also serve as a Youth Match presented by Pepsi, with free admission for youth wearing volleyball shirts.
