Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Griffins Defeated Nighthawks 4-0

Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster Griffins Men's Soccer team earned their first home win of the 2024 season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Northwest Nazarene University on Dumke Field Saturday afternoon.

The Griffins opened the scoring early in the first half, with Jack Cardwell netting his third goal of the season in the 19th minute, assisted by Gage Wood.

Just before halftime, Jack Epstein added to the lead with his first goal of the season at the 44th minute, thanks to an assist from Cam Neeley, putting Westminster up 2-0 at the break.

In the final moments of the match, the Griffins sealed the victory with two late goals. Landon Ward scored his second goal of the season in the 89th minute, assisted by Owen Gallo, followed shortly by Colton Crawford, who found the back of the net in the 90th minute with assists from Broc Underhill and Cam Neeley.

Roark Looney played the full 90 minutes in goal, delivering key saves to preserve the clean sheet and help the Griffins secure the shutout win.
