Colorado Springs, CO - The Westminster Griffins Women's Basketball team embarked on a trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to face off against the Mountain Lions of UCCS on Friday night. Despite a determined effort, the Griffins faced a tough start to the game, trailing 13-6 in the first period. The Mountain Lions capitalized on this early advantage, ultimately securing a 69-56 victory over the Griffins.

However, the Griffins displayed resilience and determination, staging a remarkable comeback in the second quarter. Outscoring UCCS 20-19, they showcased a renewed spark and fought hard to narrow the gap after a challenging start.

Leading the charge for Westminster was Marli Reed, who delivered an impressive performance with 17 points, leading the team in scoring. Maunayia Harrigfeld made a significant impact with 12 rebounds and added eight points, while Za'kkria Robinson also contributed eight points to the team's effort.

Despite their efforts, the Griffins fell short against a UCCS team.
