Las Vegas, NM - In Las Vegas, New Mexico, the Westminster Griffins Women's Basketball team faced off against New Mexico Highlands in their final road game of the season. Despite heading into halftime with a lead, the Griffins found themselves outpaced in the third quarter, allowing New Mexico Highlands to seize control and ultimately secure a 68-57 victory inside the Wilson Complex arena.
Leading the charge for the Griffins was Teuila Nasahine, who continued her impressive season with a stellar performance, contributing 15 points and 10 rebounds to secure a double-double. Freshman standout Za'kkria Robinson made her mark with 14 points, while Maunayia Harrigfeld added 12 points to the scoreboard. Elizabeth Means rounded out the quartet of double-digit scorers, tallying 11 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the effort.
However, the Griffins were unable to contain the scoring of New Mexico Highlands' Juliana Aragon, who poured in 24 points to lead her team to victory.
With only two games remaining in the season, Westminster now sets its sights on their final home matchups. They will welcome Colorado Mesa on Tuesday night and Western Colorado on Thursday, which will be serving as senior night celebration.
