Drake Middleton, who led the Griffins in scoring with 16 points, the team ultimately fell short, succumbing to a 92-72 defeat.
Brayden Maldonada showcased an impressive performance for MSU-Denver, claiming the title of top scorer with a stellar showing. The Roadrunners wasted no time establishing their dominance, sprinting to an early lead and maintaining their momentum throughout the contest. By halftime, MSU-Denver had built a commanding 44-31 advantage.
Although the Griffins mounted a spirited comeback effort in the second half, narrowing the deficit to single digits at one point, MSU-Denver's relentless play proved too much to overcome.
