Salt Lake City, UT - The Westminster University Volleyball team delivered a strong performance on Saturday, defeating the Colorado State University Pueblo Thunderwolves in three sets to claim their fourth RMAC victory and back-to-back wins at home. Tonight's victory marks the second win for the Griffins over CSU-Pueblo in program history and their first since 2017.
Josie Gerritsen led the Griffins with 19 assists, followed by Leila Cornejo with 15, guiding the offense to a three-set sweep. Breegan Huntsman and Claire Cook each tallied a game-high 11 kills, while Mailei Myers contributed three blocks, Regan Jackson added two, and Hailey Killett chipped in with one. Emma Reardon anchored the defense with 14 digs, followed closely by Alanna Lee with 12.
The Griffins secured set one with a late push, finishing 25-20 after a comeback attempt by the Thunderwolves. In set two, Westminster trailed 22-18 but scored five straight points to edge out a 25-23 win. The third set saw another rally as CSU-Pueblo tied the score at 24-24. Myers and Huntsman delivered the final kills to seal the 26-24 victory.
