Grand Junction, CO - The Westminster Griffins embarked on their second game in as many nights, facing the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks. In a determined effort, the Mavericks managed to secure a victory in three sets against the Griffins.
In the third set, the Griffins looked to have a spark, as the led the opening play 8-2. but a rally by the Mavericks was too much as the Griffins lost 20-25 in set three.
Oliva Curtis and Regan Jackson showcased their offensive prowess, leading the Griffins with eight kills each. Their consistency and scoring ability were evident throughout the match.
The Griffins also had a commendable performance in the blocking department, with Mailei Myers contributing six blocks and Hailey Killett adding four. Their presence at the net helped the team assert their defensive strength.
Despite their best efforts, the Griffins couldn't secure a win against the hosting Mavericks, who proved to be a formidable opponent.
