Las Vegas, NV - In a display of utter dominance, the Westminster Griffins women's soccer team secured a resounding 6-1 victory over New Mexico Highlands during their road matchup. From the very start, the Griffins showcased their offensive prowess, creating an early lead that set the tone for the entire game.
The game burst into life just over a minute after kickoff when Sophia DiGeronimo fired the ball into the back of the net, setting the Griffins on a path to an emphatic victory. Cassidy Orr, proving to be an offensive force, contributed significantly to the team's success by scoring two goals during the match.
Alivia Preston added to the first-half scoring spree, helping the Griffins amass a commanding 3-0 lead by halftime. While New Mexico Highlands managed to break through with a quick goal early in the second half, the Griffins responded with a relentless offensive onslaught.
In the second half, three different Griffins players, including Cassidy Orr, found the back of the net once again, further extending their team's lead. Emma Geiges and Ti'are Stroud-Lewis each added to the scoring frenzy in the latter part of the game.
