The Westminster Griffins hosted Regis University on Friday night under the vibrant lights of Dumke Field. However, it was the Rangers who seized control with two quick goals within a five-minute span during the first half, and they added another to begin the second, ultimately securing a 3-1 victory.
The match was characterized by an abundance of shots from both teams, with the Griffins finding themselves outshot 23-17, including a 12-10 disadvantage in shots on goal. Westminster managed a late goal, courtesy of Necie Gubler, providing them with a glimmer of hope, but they couldn't muster more.
The Griffins will now enjoy a well-deserved break, with their next game scheduled for October 6th, a Friday night clash at 7:00 PM.
