Salt Lake City, UT - The Westminster Women's Soccer team hosted St. Mary's University (TX) at Dumke Field on a sun-soaked Sunday afternoon in Utah. The match saw almost 30 minutes of intense, scoreless action. However, it was Valerie Hover of the Rattlers who broke the deadlock, netting the first goal and giving the visiting team a 1-0 lead.
Cassidy Jackson, assisted by Sophia DiGeronimo, answered back for the Griffins, scoring the equalizing goal at the 35-minute mark to level the game. That goal would prove to be the final one as the match concluded in a 1-1 draw.
Mashaun Estridge, guarding the net for the Griffins, showcased remarkable skills with some crucial saves that played a pivotal role in maintaining the game's balance.
Looking ahead, the Griffins are set to face Northwest Nazarene University next, with a scheduled kickoff time of 1:00 PM on Saturday afternoon.
