Salt Lake City, UT - With 29 seconds left to play in regulation, a turnover by Colorado Mesa gave the Westminster Men's Lacrosse team one more shot to send the game into overtime, but they couldn't get a shot to end the game as
Colorado Mesa University exits Dumke Field 14-13 to give the Griffins their second conference loss of the year.
The Griffins found themselves down early 3-0 in the first six minutes of play, but
Merritt McMahon was the first player to strike the back of the net for Westminster.
Led by Luke Silstrop and
Joseph Celentano who each had three goals each as they were the leading scorers on the the day for the Griffins,
Hagan Buchanan scooped up six ground balls as
Jacob Miller added five of his own.
AJ Switzer was the high scorer of the game with five goals for the Mavericks as he added two assists on Dumke FIeld.
