GRAND JUNCTION, CO - It was an early 10-0 first period of play in Colorado for the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa who gave the Westminster Griffins their first conference loss of the season 18-7.

Grace Carico was the first Griffin to strike in the second period of action with back-to-back goals and Lauren Shoughro was able to score twice in the game as well one in the second and one in the fourth in a man-up opportunity. 

The Griffins outscored th Mavericks 5-3 in the second and 2-1 in the fourth. 


UP NEXT: The Griffins will travel to University of Colorado at Colorado Springs as their road trip will continue on April, 6 with face-off scheduled at 1:00 PM (MDT.)
