Salt Lake City, UT - Home sweet home, the Westminster women's basketball team is saying, after another conference home victory vs
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs on Friday night, inside
Behnken Field House 58-52 as strong second quarter of play helped secure the win despite a late run by the Mountain Lions.
With under a minute to play in the fourth quarter the Griffins looked to cruise another conference vicotry with ease, but a late run by the Moutain Lions saw their lead drop to just 4 points, but four key free throws down the stretch in the final seconds of action help the Westminster take home another home win and keeps their hopes alive to host an RMAC tournament game.
Jaycee Lichtie, was the teams leading scorer on the night as she dropped 17 points with two steals and was one of three players in double-figures in the win.
Lyndzi Rich added 11 points and nine rebounds where
Ashley Greenwood went 4-5 from the field and ended the night with 10 points and eight rebounds for the Griffins.
