SALT LAKE CITY, Utah –Westminster College women's basketball team, had a 17-point lead in the third quarter of play, but Colorado State University-Pueblo found a way to overcome that deficit on Friday evening to snap the Griffins winning ways on their home floor 72-66 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action at Behnken Field House.
The Griffins held the Thunderwolves to only nine points in the second quarter of play as they entered halftime with the lead. It was the 27-point quarter that hurt Westminster in the third as Tomia and Daeja Johnson led the way for the visiting team.
Westminster had three players in double-figure on the night which was led by
Rae Falatea with 19 points,
Ashley Greenwood with 13, and
Jaycee Lichtie who ended the night 5-5 with 10 points.
UP NEXT: The Griffins will honor their senior before tomorrow's tip-off vs
