Salt Lake City, UT - Westminster's Women's Basketball team found a way to capture an important conference win on Friday night in Denver. With a strong fourth quarter of play where they outscored the Roadrunners 17-7 and
Ashley Greenwood adding 18 points, the Griffins defeated MSU-Denver 54-49.
The Griffins now have won their fifth game in a row.
After trailing at halftime, Westminster found a surge in the second half of play. It was a team effort as seven different Griffins scored in the win.
Lyndzi Rich found a way to score nine points and pull down seven rebounds as she was the teams second leading scorer.
UP NEXT: The Griffins now return back home next weekend as they will play their final home games of the regular season, starting with
Colorado State University Pueblo on Friday, Feb. 17.
