Denver, Colorado - The Westminster Griffins Men's Basketball team faced a tough challenge in their conference opener against MSU-Denver on Friday night, resulting in an 85-54 loss.
The RoadRunners came out with a fast start, establishing an early lead that proved challenging for the Griffins to overcome. Trey Wood led the Griffins in scoring with 13 points, showcasing his offensive prowess. Chase Potter contributed seven points, and Tyler Kurtz added six in the effort.
Despite their best efforts, the Griffins struggled from beyond the arc, going 3-19 from three-point range. Free throws also posed a challenge, with the team shooting 13-22 from the line.
