Salt Lake City, UT - On the final night at Dumke Field, the Westminster Griffins women's soccer team hosted Colorado Mesa, and it turned out to be a challenging battle.
The game began with Colorado Mesa taking the lead, as Sauvelyne Randel found the back of the net in the 25th minute, giving the visiting Mavericks a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
The Griffins didn't back down and managed to even the score in the second half when Kara Dickey scored her first goal of the year. But the celebration was short-lived, as Colorado Mesa struck back shortly after, with Randel netting her second goal of the game.
The decisive goal came in the 62nd minute when Kylie Wells extended Colorado Mesa's lead, securing the 3-1 victory over the Griffins.
