Colorado Springs, CO - In a closely contested match at Mountain Lion Stadium, the Westminster Griffins Women's soccer team faced off against a resilient UCCS side. However, despite a strong defensive effort, the Griffins were unable to find an equalizer, resulting in a 1-0 defeat to UCCS.
The game saw both teams putting forth a determined defensive performance. The Griffins managed to create a few offensive opportunities, with four shots on goal during the match, but were unable to break through the UCCS defense. Corner kicks were hard to come by for both teams.
The Griffins now look ahead to their final three games of the season, which will be played on their home field at Dumke Field in Salt Lake City, UT. Their next match will be against Black Hills State University (S.D.) on Friday, Oct. 27, with kickoff set for 4:00 PM.
