Grand Junction, CO - The Westminster Griffins took on the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa despite being tied at halftime, the Mavericks pulled away with two straight goals late in the second half as the Griffins fall 4-2 on Friday night. 


The men's Soccer team has been playing great soccer recently as they entered tonight's game with a three-game winning streak, and on Friday night they looked to secure a conference victory, but an early goal by Din Huremovic evened up the game at the 30-minute mark which stayed that way entering the locker rooms after 45 minutes of play. 

In half number two, the Mavericks hit the back of the net twice, but a late goal by Armin Hasanovic cut the lead to one again, but the penalty kick goal wasn't enough in the 81st minute.


UP NEXT: Westminster returns back to Salt Lake City, UT as they will hit Dumke Field with a battle with Colorado School of Mines on Sunday afternoon. The game will be on the RMAC Network.
