SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The RMAC Tournament weekend has came to an end in Salt Lake City, it began at Judge Memorial High School and finsihed at Dumke Field at Westminster College as the Westminster Griffins saw their championship hopes come to and as Colorado Mesa defeated Westminster 16-10.
It was a fast start for the champions of the RMAC as the Mavericks struck back to back goals to open up the championship game and led 6-3 after the first 15 minutes ticked off the clock. Despite scoring three goals in the first, that was all the goals the Griffins would get for the rest of the first half as the Griffins were held scoreless trailing 10-3 at halftime.
Andoni Odencrantz,
Easton Albert and
Dylan Brauer each had one goal in the fist half for Westminster.
Gabe Mein started things off the Griffins in the second half of play as he was able to score his first of two goals in the second half in the third quarter as his teammates Odencrantz and Albert scored in the same quarter and out scored the Mavericks 4-3 and both teams scored three goals in the fourth with
Joseph Celentano was the sixth different griffin to score in the championship game,
