Salt Lake City -- It was a time to celebrate our seniors of the Women's Lacrosse team today as they faced off with UCCS in the final game of the 2022 season as they fall 21-7 at home.Â
The Griffins were able to trail by three goals after the first quarter of play and trailed by four heading into the halftime break as the score was 9-5 as Â
Hannah Kelleherr and Â
Eden Freiberg both added two goals in the first half of action.Â
Maddie Kelleher scored the fifth goal of the half for Westminster and her only goal of the game.Â
In the second half it was all UCCSÂ who outscored the Griffins 7-0 in the third and 5-2 in the fourth withÂ
Grace Rappl scoring both goals for Westminster.
Westminster finishes in fifth place in the RMAC standings with a record of 4-8 in conference play this season.Â
Two seniors led the way for the Grififins in scoring this season as Freiberg had a total of 34 goals and 16 assists to lead the team as her senior teammate Lauren Shougro hit the back of the net 30 times in their senior seasons as Griffins together.Â
