Salt Lake City, UT - It was a night to celebrate for the women's soccer team as they found their offensive attack and executed their game plan to nearly perfection as the Westminster Griffins shut-out Western Colorado on their home turf on Dumke Field in the 3-0 victory.
The game began at a slower pace then the Griffins wanted it to as they saw
Alexa Maple add another assist to her great season as she set up
Alex Hoffman for the first and lone goal of the first half of play as the Griffins led 1-0 at halftime.
As the second half began, the speed picked up for the Griffins and shots started getting near the net where two of them of found the back of the goal the first by Maple and the second by the defender
Sophia DiGeronimo as the Griffins took control and cruised the victory in Salt Lake City.
The goalkeepers on the night were
Kelsea Cracroft played 59 minutes before we saw
Mashaun Estridge close the game out for the Griffins in goal.
UP NEXT: The Griffins wil be back in action with a quick turn around as the the women's team will return to Dumke Field on Sunday at 1:00 PM MDT as the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis will roll into town.
