Durango, CO - It was the second straight game that the Men's Soccer team was able to lead the attack and come away with back-to-back RMAC wins this year as the Griffins saw
Luke Merrill score not once, but twice as Westminster defeated Fort Lewis College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon on Dirks Fields.
In the 11th minute of play, Merrill was set up perfectly to score the lone goal of the first 45, as the Griffins went into the halftime break on top 1-0.
As the second half began five minutes in Merrill, once again found a way to hit the back of the net to put the Griffins on top 2-0, but the final goal came on a
Jace Vance assist where he placed the ball to into the feet of
Jack Cardwell late in the game and the Griffins scored their third and final goal of the game on the road.
Roark Looney was the Goal Keeper in the win adding three big saves in his area of the game and was able to help secure the shut-out for Westminster.
