Rapid City, SD - It was
Luke Merrill who scored the first goal of the game for the Griffins in the first half and that would be the lone goal of the game for the majority of the game until JC Vasquez scored on the Penalty Kick in the 82 minute of play as the Westminster Griffins Men's Soccer team secured the road victory in South Dakota vs the HardRockers of South Dakota Mines in a 2-0 finish.
With the win, the Griffins are now in battling for position in the RMAC standings as they are fighting to keep climbing up to possibly host the first round of the RMAC tournament.
Roark Looney was the goalkeeper once again for the Griffins in the victory as he stood tall and completed the shut-out on the road.
UP NEXT: The Griffins will look to send their seniors off in a victory for Senior Day as they take on
Colorado Christian University in their final home game of the year on Friday, Oct. 21 at 4:00 PM on Dumke Field.
