SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster College's 225 NCAA student-athletes finished the 2021 fall semester with a combined GPA of 3.51, marking the 13
th-straight semester with a combined GPA higher than 3.3.
"We're very pleased to announce the academic accomplishments of our student-athletes from this fall," Westminster Director of Athletics
Shay Wyatt said. "These results are impressive and demonstrate our student-athletes' ability to successfully manage demanding schedules along with the challenging time we're experiencing and maintain academics as a top priority. Congratulations to our student-athletes for their great work and for continuing the tradition of meeting the academic standards set forth by our institution."
170 student-athletes finished the spring with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, accounting for 83 percent of the total student-athletes. 137 finished with a gpa of 3.5 or higher and 48 finished with a 4.0.
Amongst the five NCAA sports competing this past fall, 54 student-athletes were named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the 2021 fall semester. Westminster women's soccer had 16 named to the conference's academic honor roll and grad student
Aimee Kurfurst was named Second Team RMAC All-Academic.
Women's cross country runner,
Saydi Anderson, in addition to becoming the first women's runner to compete at the NCAA DII XC Championships, was named First Team All-Academic.
Westminster Student-Athletes Named to RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll - Fall 2021: To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
