Event Recap

Westminster University's Annual Athletics Benefit Golf Tournament brought together over a hundred golfers on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Eaglewood Golf Course in North Salt Lake for a day of competition and community in support of Griffin student-athletes.

The scramble-format event drew players from across the Griffin community for a morning shotgun start, followed by lunch and an awards ceremony. The tournament's goal of raising funds for student-athlete scholarships was met in a big way, with the event generating above $60,000 in net proceeds to directly support Westminster Athletics programs.

It was impressive to watch our Golf team hit many drives next to the flag and to enjoy a fun and challenging activity by our Women's Lacrosse team to have folks try to bury a ball in the back of the net. We are already thinking about next year and the ways we can grow the event further.
