COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—
Dominique Estrada assisted both goals as the Westminster women's soccer team defeated No.8 ranked UCCS, 2-1, to book their first ever RMAC Championship Final appearance.
The Griffins were the aggressors taking 16 shots, 12 in the second half, with four on goal, while the Griffins' defense held the nationally ranked Mountain Lions to just three shots.
The teams played to a scoreless first-half draw with few opportunities. Goalkeeper
Kelsea Cracroft was forced into action early, making a save in the second minute. She denied UCCS in the 19
th minute on their second chance.
Rebecca Wheeler recorded the Griffins' only attempt on target. Wheeler's 39
th minute shot was saved by Chloe DeShazer ending the half tied, 0-0.
Three goals second half goals came within a seven-minute window with UCCS breaking the deadlock in the 63
rd as Jaden Davis's shot found the back of the net.

Brynnae Braun's 67
th game-winner from a free kick.
With the lead Westminster's defense stepped up to deny the home team any shots through the rest of the half.
The Griffins will face CSU Pueblo in the finals on Sunday, Apr. 25, at 1 pm. Pueblo defeated Colorado School of Mines 4-3 in pks.
