DURANGO, Colo.—The women's soccer team defeated Fort Lewis in the RMAC Championship Quarterfinal on Tuesday and will meet the seventh ranked UCCS in a rematch of the 2020 semifinal.

Alexa Maple for the decisive goal in the 86th minute. The Griffins outshot the Skyhawks 15 to seven with 11 shots on goal.
Kelsea Cracroft made five saves to earn the shutout.
Both teams took six shots and played to a first half scoreless tie. Cracroft made four saves to keep the Skyhawks off the scoresheet. Katie Dunbabin kept Westminster out of the back of the net with five saves on shots from
Cassidy Orr,
Dominique Estrada,
Aimee Kurfurst and Maple.
Westminster increased the pressure on Fort Lewis with 10 shots while holding the home side to just one shot in the second half.
As regulation neared an end, Westminster made a final push with three shots in less than four minutes. A shot by Maple missed high in the 82
nd minute and
Brynnae Braun was denied by Dunbabin in the 84
th before Maple and Echeverio combined for the game-winner.
"Proud of our effort today," Head Coach
Tony LeBlanc said after the game. "We started a little slow but credit Fort Lewis for a strong start. The second half was much better and were able to push the pace and got a fantastic goal by Alexa."
UCCS will host the semifinals and final on Friday, Apr. 23, and Saturday, Apr. 24. The games will be streamed on the RMAC Network through Stretch Internet.
