LIVERMORE, Calif.—The Westminster men's golf team began its spring season at the NNU Nighthawks Invitational at the Poppy Ridge Golf Course. The Griffins are tied sixth with Whitworth in a field of 14 teams.

Zach Dallimore and Bryson Hirabayashi shot 5-over-77 and are tied 16th to lead the Griffins. Dallimore was 1-over-73 on the front nine with one birdie and six pars. He finished the back nine with six pars. Hirabayashi was 1-over-72 on the front nine with one birdie and six pars. He made six pars on the back nine.

Mason ward is tied 24th carding 7-over-79. He made par three times on the front nine and par six times on the back nine.

Alec Williams is tied 35th (+8) and Davis Amis is tied 50th (+10).

The Griffins will finish with two more rounds on Tuesday, Mar. 9.
