Katie Jacox reached double-digit kills in Westminster's five set defeat to Western Colorado.
The Griffins (3-7, 1-6 RMAC) got off to a good start, winning the first two sets (25-20, 25-23). The Mountaineers (2-2, 2-2 RMAC) went on to win the next three sets (25-21, 25-16, 15-9). Westminster recorded 57 kills and a .160 hitting percentage. Western recorded 74 kills and a 196 hitting percentage.
Audrey Green and Kaia Ghosh of Western led all players with 20 kills. Green hit at .148 and led the Griffins with three aces. She was third with 13 digs and had two blocks.
Jacox led the team with a season-high 22 digs and was second on the team with 11 points hitting at .200. She added two aces, two assists and blocks to her stat line.
Bri Mortensen tallied 43 assists and registered three kills, 10 digs and two blocks.
The Griffins will be back on the court Monday night to face Chadron State at 5:30.
