SALT LAKE CITY—The Westminster women's volleyball team won its second RMAC match defeating Chadron State in three sets.

Audrey Green and
Malinda Messner each had nine kills to lead the team.
The Griffins (4-7, 2-6 RMAC) took a two-set lead winning the first set, 25-14, and the second set. 25-6. The Griffins recorded 16 kills in both sets, hitting at a clip of .467 in the first and .469 in the second.
Chadron (2-6, 1-5 RMAC) nearly spoiled Westminster's chance of a three-set sweep. The Eagles went on a 7-2 run to begin the third and led until the final seven points. Westminster tied the Eagles five times but were unable to take the lead. Down by three, 24-21, The griffins scored four straight taking the lead for the first time, 25-24. Chadron tied it, 25-25, but a kill by Miller put the Griffins in front again and attack error by the Eagles ended the game with the Griffins winning, 27-25.
Holland VandeMerwe led the team with 18 digs, recorded one assist and served up two aces.
Katie Jacox and Bri Mortensesn each had 11 digs. Jacox served a team-high six aces and Mortensen led the team with 33 assists.
Miller, Green and Messner led the team in kills with 9 each. Messner recorded a hitting percentage of .389, Miller was hitting at .320 and Green at .190.
Rylee Greiman led the Eagles with seven kills and Karli Noble led with 17 digs.
The Griffins host a pod with South Dakota School of Mines and CSU-Pueblo this weekend. The matches are scheduled for Saturday at 11 am, 2 pm and 5 pm but could be moved to Sunday if the women's basketball team ends up hosting the RMAC Championships.
