Mariah Martin scored 19 and
Sarah McGinley scored 17 to lead the Griffins to their largest win, 68-45, of the season. The Griffins improve to 8-3, 8-3 RMAC.
It was a single-possession game for most of the first quarter with the Griffins leading until Westminster took the lead with a 13-3 run. McGinley drained a pair of threes at the end for an eight-point lead.
Westminster doubled its lead in the second quarter outscoring the visitors 16-8. Adams State was scoreless for seven minutes after opening the quarter with a three in its first possession.
The Griffins went 10-15 (66.7%) from the field in the third quarter to increase its lead by six more points.
The game ended with a low scoring fourth quarter with just 17 combined points between the team.
The Griffins finished the night shooting 54.9% and 8-11 from the stripe. The Griffins grabbed 30 rebounds, six steals, 11 assists and recorded seven blocked shots.
Martín was 8-16 from the field for a team-high 19 points. She grabbed four rebounds, had two assists and two steals.
McGinley shot 6-10 making 2-of-5 from beyond the arc and shooting 3-4 from the charity stripe. She blocked two shots and led the team with six rebounds and four assists.
Abby Mangum had five rebounds, one assist and a team-high three blocks. She was 4-6 from the field for eight points.
